Red Cabbage with Apples

IngrediŽnts


.1 red cabbage(1200 gr. nearly) .1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
.1 onion .1 teaspoon of cumin powder
.2 sour apples .1 teaspoon of caraway seeds
.1 cup of water .Ĺ teaspoon of cloves
.5 gram salt .Ĺ teaspoon of black pepper
.1 tablespoon of brown sugar .1 bay leaf
.1 tablespoon of red wine .1 or 2 tablespoons of quick-oats
.1 tablespoon of lemon juice

Preparation


Take off the dirty outside leaves from the cabbage.
Cut it in small ropes.
Cut the onions in ropes.
Peel the apples, take away the cores and cut them in parts
Put all this in a pan.
Add 1 cup of water  and    all the other ingredients, except the quick-oats.
Bring it to a boil.
Put the lid on the pan and let it simmer for 45 min. .
Add the last minute the quick-oats for thickening  the sauce
Try a little bit,  to see,   if there is enough salt   for your taste
